Effective today, October 2, 2024, Campbell County has lifted the burn ban that was put in place on September 16, 2024. The decision comes after the county experienced a period of prolonged rain over the past week.
The initial ban was enacted due to dry conditions and concerns about potential fire hazards. However, recent weather changes have alleviated these concerns, allowing officials to safely rescind the restrictions.
Residents are now permitted to resume outdoor burning activities under normal regulations. The county will continue to monitor weather conditions and make adjustments as necessary to ensure public safety.
