The Fort Thomas Police Department is set to host a Citizens Police Academy seminar on Thursday, March 13, at 6 p.m. The event is open to past participants, prospective participants, and anyone interested in attending.
Dr. Mark Schweitzer, the Campbell County Coroner, will be a guest speaker at the seminar. Dr. Schweitzer is known for his extensive experience and respected standing in the community. Dr. Schweitzer will also present a case study involving human remains found along the Ohio River banks in Fort Thomas in April 2000. The case includes elements of forensic anthropology, investigative work, and potential mob connections.
The seminar will take place at the Fort Thomas City Building Council Chambers located at 130 North Fort Thomas Ave., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendance does not require an RSVP; interested individuals are encouraged to attend.
