Campbell County issues Level 2 snow emergency due to severe weather
Lauren McIntosh Council Member | City of Fort Thomas

The Campbell County Office of Emergency Management has issued a Level 2 Snow Emergency on January 5, 2025. This advisory comes in response to severe winter weather conditions characterized by blowing and drifting snow, as well as icy roads.

Under a Level 2 Snow Emergency, roads are considered extremely hazardous. The public is advised to travel only if absolutely necessary. Essential travel should be limited to activities that are life-sustaining. These include medical emergencies, obtaining food or water, commuting to work after confirming with employers, and acquiring heating fuel or supplies.

It is important to note that this is not a mandatory travel ban. However, residents are strongly encouraged to avoid road travel unless it is an emergency situation.
