Fire department urges residents to check smoke detectors after recent house fires

Over the past day, the Fire Department responded to two house fires. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported among civilians or firefighters. The department highlighted the challenges faced by personnel in such weather conditions, including risks of hypothermia, slips and falls, and exertion.

Both incidents are under investigation to determine their causes. The department emphasized the importance of ensuring smoke detectors are functioning correctly as a preventive measure. For assistance with smoke detectors, residents can contact the station at 859-441-8393.
