Volunteers are encouraged to participate in various activities such as placing pumpkins, setting up displays, distributing candy while dressed in Halloween costumes, and assisting with cleanup after the event. For the 2022-23 school year, Woodfill Elementary School experienced an increase in enrollment numbers compared to the previous year, with 26 more students being enrolled.

Norbert the Skeleton has provided a reminder for residents on how to prepare leaves for curbside pickup. Residents are encouraged to place leaves at the curb by their scheduled pickup date. Leaves should be raked directly into the curb, avoiding placement in the street or on sidewalks, to ensure efficient collection.

Come out to celebrate the Bluebirds and support the sports teams and organizations participating in the 2024 Highlands High School Homecoming Parade. The event will begin at 6:15 p.m., starting from Guardian Savings Bank and proceeding north along the Avenue to the high school. Attendees are advised to check for updates on road pattern changes during this time. Candy will be distributed to spectators on the right-hand side of the street.

Pumpkins are set to take center stage at the Fort Thomas Pumpkin Walk Carving Contest, which begins next week. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in five categories: Scary, Detailed, Funny, Uncarved, and Traditional.

With the arrival of autumn, Fort Thomas is gearing up for its annual Halloween House Decorating Contest. Scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, the event invites residents to transform their homes and streets into festive spectacles.

The Northern Kentucky (NKY) Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is scheduled for November 2, 2024. The event will take place at Thomas More Stadium located at 7950 Freedom Way in Florence, Kentucky. Residents can drop off their household hazardous waste between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

There were 569 students enrolled in Moyer Elementary School in the 2022-23 school year, an increase over the previous year.

The Fort Thomas Police Department is set to collaborate with the DEA and the Fort Thomas Lions Club on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Detective Brandon Vance and Officer Nicholas Hoffman will be present to collect old, expired, leftover, and unused prescription medications for safe disposal.

For the 2022-23 school year, Johnson Elementary School experienced a decrease in enrollment numbers compared to the previous year, with 51 fewer students being enrolled.
