The City of Fort Thomas has announced that the band Give it to 'Em, FLORABELLE! will be the opening act for the 2025 Merchants & Music Festival. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, September 20 at 7:30 pm.
Give it to 'Em, FLORABELLE! hails from Missoula, Montana and is known for its honky tonk-soul funk style. The band is led by songwriter Cara Schulz, who captivates audiences with her powerful vocals and energetic performances. Schulz's musical journey began with jazz standards before she started composing her own songs, drawing on her jazz background, country influences, and love for the mountains.
In 2023, Schulz returned to Montana to form the band and establish a strong presence in the music scene. Known as Montana’s favorite super band, their performances are characterized by surprise guests, prizes, and healthy snacks for attendees. Their motto is “One for all, and all for the band,” aiming to foster human connection and inclusivity. At a Florabelle show, dancing is encouraged with humor that “Thou shalt cut all the rugs.”
The festival will feature a full day of live music along with local food offerings and family-friendly activities. Niko Moon is set to headline at 9 pm. Attendees can enjoy food from Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati food trucks as well as craft beer from West Sixth. A Kids Zone will offer circus acts, face painting, balloon artists, and inflatables.
The event remains free due to support from local sponsors and the Fort Thomas community.
