The City of Fort Thomas is inviting residents to participate in the Tour de Tinsel and Gingerbread House Contest as part of its holiday celebrations. The festivities will begin on Sunday, December 7, with a community event at the Campbell County YMCA starting at 4 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller-skates, or golf carts for the occasion. Santa Claus will lead the procession on a new fire truck along the avenue toward the Inverness District. The event will conclude with the Inverness Tree Lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.
Organizers are also reminding residents that entries for the Gingerbread House Contest can be dropped off starting tomorrow. The contest features three categories: Traditional, Ugly Sweater, and Fort Thomas Spirit. Each category is divided into four age groups: pre-school, elementary, middle school, and adult. Michelle Caldwell NMLS 7944 – Huntington Bank is sponsoring this year’s contest.
For questions about the Gingerbread House Contest, participants are asked to contact Savannah at skrift@ftthomas.org.
