Eric Haas is stepping down after years of service to the City of Fort Thomas. Having lived in the city for 69 years, Haas began his public service as a City Commissioner in Newport in 1987. He later joined the Fort Thomas City Council, serving from 1997 to 2014.
Haas then served three terms as Mayor of Fort Thomas. During his time in office, he was recognized for his leadership and dedication to making Fort Thomas a safe and welcoming place for residents and families.
The city issued a statement: "Your love and passion for the community will never go unnoticed. On behalf of the city, we all wish you well in your healing journey. Thank you, Mayor Haas, for everything you and your family have done to make Fort Thomas stronger, kinder, and more connected."
